Bring your lantern and join the 2019 Tulip Time Twilight Walk from 5.30pm on Tuesday 24 September starting in Glebe Park.

Witness the first public turning of the Mary Poppins Birthplace Statue from East to West marking the Spring Equinox as the change of season and official start of our Tulip Time Festival. Then join the twilight community walk as part of a public "umbrella lantern parade" commencing at 6pm from Glebe Park to Corbett Gardens in the centre of Bowral where the gardens will be open to view. The Wingecarribee Shire Mayor and Year 6 primary school students will be special guests at the statue turning ceremony.

Make your own umbrella lantern and join the fun! You just need a brightly coloured translucent umbrella or parasol, LED flashlights and rubber bands. Once participants arrive at the gardens they'll be able to join in the fun of a Mary Poppins themed carnival-style evening.
