WINGELLO – HONOUR BOARD FOR WORLD WAR II.
Following the centenary of the Mechanic's Institute Hall, members of the Wingello Village Association responded when Keith Garbutt again made the request for an honour board.

The 107 people listed on the Honour Board include those either born in the village, those living in Wingello at time of enlistment and others who enlisted in Wingello. Included are older members of the community, some of whom served in WWI who again enlisted as members of the Defence Corps Voluntary Service to guard the home front.

A commemorative booklet has been compiled as a memento for the day.
The Honour Board will be unveiled at a commemorative service commencing at 2pm on Saturday 21st September with afternoon tea to follow. All welcome! For enquiries please email secretary.wva@gmail.com
